Who is Credo?

Credo Women's Ministries, Incorporated, is not-for-profit, 501 (c) 3,  Women's ministry; organized exclusively for the Spiritual, Educational and Charitable needs of women and children. This ministry is created to provide support to those who experience a lack of motivation, low self-esteem, lack of equality and opportunities in the Kingdom of God (The Church) and the World. It is the intent of Credo Women's Ministries to impact God's Kingdom by offering Spiritual, Educational and Charitable programming in faith communities, business environments and Cities and States where people are hungering for more of God and deeper community with one another.

Credo Women's Ministries was established in July, 1996, in response to the community concern for both women and children who felt as if they had no sense of educational security, societal purpose, nor spiritual motivation. Initially Credo Women's Ministries was an ecumenical effort. Christian Women from around the cities of Indianapolis and Milwaukee assisted Dr. Williams in her care and support of women.

In September, 1997, Credo Women's Ministries had its first Prayer Breakfast at the St. Vincent Maarten House, in Indianapolis, Indiana. In, November, 2000, Credo Women's Ministries was incorporated as a not-for-profit religious organization.  In August, 2002, Credo Women's Ministries received its 501(C) 3, Federal Exemption Status. Since, 1996, Credo Women's Ministries has been meeting the Spiritual, Educational, Physical and Charitable needs of women and children.  Credo has held events in Indianapolis, Milwaukee, Cleveland, OH; Chicago, Rockford, and Bloomington, Illinois; and Atlanta, Georgia; Texas, Kentucky and Pennsylvania.

What do we believe?
The Word Credo is Greek for "Statement of Faith"

We Believe and Confess that Jesus is the Christ, Son of the Living God and proclaim him Lord and Savior of the World.  In the Name of Jesus and by his grace, we accept our mission of Christian love, witness and service to all persons.

Through Baptism into Christ we enter into new life and are made one with all God's Children.  We believe in the power, direction and guidance of the Holy Spirit. Through this Spirit we celebrate  Holy Communion, Water Baptism by immersion and the presence of Christ in all we do!

We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with one of the manifestations being Speaking in other tongues, as the Spirit gives utterance; Love for all Humanity and Sharing in the betterment of the Kingdom of God-here on Earth! Within the larger church  we receive revelation and Enlightment of the Holy Scriptures (The Bible). We take them seriously and excise them in all decision making processes. We believe in the gift of divine healing and we welcome the miracles of Jesus Christ- where all Children of God are to be participants therein. We the members of Credo Women's Ministries, Incorporated yield ourselves to God whose Kingdom has no end. All Thanks, Praise and Honor Be to God!
